For anyone who wants to study small insects, the Carson Bugview magnifying glass is the best tool. It features a one-hand catch system so you can catch critters in an animal-friendly way without having to touch them.

The thumb-operated catching slide makes it easy to catch even the "fastest" specimens. The crystal-clear acrylic magnifying glass lets ambient light through and with 5x magnification, you can see the smallest details with ease!

Application Carson Bugview Magnifier with one-handed insect catcher

With the Carson Bugview, you can easily catch and study animals. You place the bug catcher over the animal and close the magnifying glass by sliding the slider forward with your thumb. This slides the bottom under the animal and prevents it from escaping. The animal can easily be released again by sliding the slide back. Just remember to do this over a surface and not just anywhere in the air.

For children, it may be wiser to hold the Bugview with one hand and operate the slide with the other.
