The very high speed of F1.4 gives you the possibility to work with short exposure times and without flash even in low light conditions, for example at weddings, in buildings of all kinds or at dusk. The fast open aperture of F1.4 allows the main subject to be separated from the background easily, ideal for portrait photography, for example. The 9 aperture blades ensure a pleasant and natural bokeh.

Fast, quiet autofocus - reduced "focus pumping"
With a noise level of just 26.78 dB, the lens makes virtually no audible noise, making it ideal for use when filming. It is thus significantly quieter than its predecessor (45.90 dB). The linear stepping motor (LSTM) guides the focus quickly and precisely as usual. The notorious "focus pumping" does not occur, and the frame hardly changes at all during focusing. Ideal conditions, therefore, not only for photo but also for video recordings.

Freely assignable custom switch, separate focus hold button
The custom switch known from Samyang is also built into this lens. For example, the aperture control and manual focus via the forkus ring are assigned to the two switch positions ex works. The focus hold button stores the focus setting and can perform other tasks depending on the camera model. The Custom Switch can be assigned various functions via the Lens Station, which can be purchased separately.
