The Sionyx Aurora BLACK Extended NVG Kit is a complete night vision goggle kit designed specifically for the hands-free user. It transforms your Sionyx Aurora BLACK into so-called night vision goggles. The kit is very suitable as a low-cost tactical solution and comes with many essential accessories.

Sionyx Aurora BLACK

The Aurora BLACK is a digital, ultra-low-light night vision camera that is the only one in the market that can display nighttime images in vivid colors. It is a great, budget-friendly alternative to much more expensive traditional night vision monoculars. The Sionyx Aurora BLACK provides a clear image even with the minimal ambient light, such as starlight, moonlight or a clear sky. This allows you to use the device in almost any situation, without having to use infrared light. This way, your position will not be visible to other people with night vision goggles for no reason.

The night camera has a CMOS sensor, a wide field of view of 40 degrees and an optical magnification of 0.5x (up to 3x with digital zoom). The device is compact, lightweight and waterproof. The night vision monocular provide you with many indispensable features, such as recording function and live streaming to mobile devices.

Helmet bridge

The helmet bridge in this set is a sturdy, lightweight aluminum construction that allows you to attach the Sionyx Aurora BLACK to a helmet. The bridge is fully customizable. You can choose whether you want to hang the binoculars in front of your left or right eye. You can also move it horizontally and forwards/backwards to position the viewer perfectly in front of your eye. You can also flip the arm up sideways; useful in situations where you want to quickly switch between night vision and your own visual sight. This helmet-bridge features a Dovetail connection. The arm (NVG mount) that connects the bridge to the helmet is not included.

Lens protection

You will also receive a custom 3D printed protective lens that you can place over the objective. The Plexiglas is strong enough to withstand multiple impacts from BB airsoft balls at a speed of about 90 meters per second (approx. 1 Joule). In this test, 0.20 grams of BB-type airsoftballs were used. In practice, this means that the lens will protect against most impacts during airsoft. Of course this impact shield also offers normal protection against dirt and scratches.
